This exceptional pair of armchairs represents the iconic Bauhaus design era, originating from 1930s Czechoslovakia. The chairs are built on a frame of lacquered spring steel tubing, which defined modernism and brought lightness and dynamism to interiors. A striking detail is the solid beech armrests, whose rounded shape harmoniously complements the strict lines of the metal frame.
The rarity of this pair lies in the preservation of the original traditional spring upholstery, which remains in excellent condition, not sagging, and providing high seating comfort. As part of the restoration, the original upholstery fabric was machine-cleaned, allowing the armchairs to retain their absolute historical authenticity. The wooden armrests underwent a process of reviving the original polish, highlighting the natural grain of the solid beech. The entire set is professionally restored and ready to serve as a functional centerpiece in a modern loft or a period-themed interior.
