This exceptional pair of nightstands (model T29) is a masterpiece of modern architecture and design. Designed by one of the most prominent figures of the Bauhaus school, architect Marcel Breuer, for the legendary Thonet company, these pieces date back to 1920s Germany. They represent a revolutionary use of industrial materials in domestic interiors. The slender yet highly stable construction of tubular chrome-plated steel has been professionally cleaned during restoration to highlight its clean, geometric form.

The storage space consists of two shelves crafted from blockboard veneered in walnut. The striking and noble grain of the walnut wood creates a perfect visual contrast with the cool chrome surface. During expert restoration, the original wood polish was sensitively revived, restoring depth and a silky luster to the surfaces. The nightstands are fully functional and, thanks to their timeless minimalism and airy, open design, remain among the most iconic furniture pieces of the 20th century. For a collector, this is a rare opportunity to acquire an authentic pair by one of the fathers of modernism.
