Spring-wound - wound with a key, run for 3-5 days.
Quarter-beating - 1/4 - beats every 15 minutes.
Alabaster columns.
Ornaments - mother-of-pearl and polychrome - Corinthian capitals, antique lyre and frame with dioramas - all gilded with gold leaf.
Chiseled brass frame and dial, imitation of a skeleton machine.

The frame in the middle of the upper part (above the dial) is a miniature diorama / scene: This is a small decorative showcase where small three-dimensional decorations (flowers, leaves, bushes) are placed, often made of a piece of shell, wax, silk or paper and possibly painted. This element serves as a distraction and is a typical intimate decorative element of Biedermeier, which emphasized domestic and emotional values.
