This set of four dining chairs is an icon of Czechoslovak interwar modernism in the Bauhaus style from the early 20th century. The concept was originally conceived by the famous Dutch architect and designer Mart Stam, who was the first to introduce the cantilever chair design without back legs. In Czechoslovakia, these chairs were produced with signature precision by the renowned manufacturer Robert Slezák.

The structural foundation consists of elegantly bent tubular chrome-plated steel, which offers exceptional seating comfort thanks to its natural flexing effect. As part of a comprehensive restoration, the metal frames have been professionally cleaned and polished to a brilliant mirror finish. The ergonomically shaped seat and backrest are crafted from beech plywood, whose warm honey tone and subtle wood grain provide a perfect, timeless contrast to the cool chrome plating.

The entire set has undergone a thorough surface restoration of the wooden components, bringing back their original depth and luster. The chairs are perfectly rigid, stable, and ready for daily use. With their clean geometric lines and high aesthetic value, this set of four chairs is an ideal match for a functionalist dining table, modern interiors, minimalist dining rooms, or representative offices.
