Philippe H. Mourey (1840–1910) was not a watchmaker (machine manufacturer), but a highly respected French sculptor and modeler. He was a master in metal casting, specializing in the production of watch cases. He worked in Paris and was one of the best designers during the so-called Napoleon III style (Second Empire). His name on watches is a mark of quality artistic workmanship.
