This luxurious commode, serving as a stylish cabinet with a showcase, is an authentic example of the refined Art Deco design from 1930s Czechoslovakia. The blockboard structure is precisely veneered in walnut, with the door fronts decorated with striking root veneer (burl) arranged in a geometric diamond pattern. This decorative element creates a fascinating visual play with the woods grain, typical of top-tier furniture from this era.

The upper part of the cabinet features an open compartment with clear sliding glass panels, ideal for displaying collectibles or books. As part of the professional restoration, the original wood polish was sensitively revived, restoring the walnut and root veneers natural depth, warm tones, and silky luster. The original handles with metal accents harmonize with the overall aesthetic and emphasize its authentic look.

The interior of the cabinet is divided by shelves, making it a highly practical piece of furniture with ample storage space. Thanks to its stable construction and timeless combination of luxury materials and functionality, this commode will serve as a prominent centerpiece in both modern and historically themed interiors.
