This exceptional pair of armchairs is an iconic representative of the Art Deco style, manufactured in Czechoslovakia during the 1930s. It is a famous design by architect Jindřich Halabala for the renowned UP Závody, ranking among the most sought-after pieces of Central European modernism. The frames, crafted from solid beech, are finished with elegant walnut veneer, whose striking and rich grain gives both chairs their unmistakable character and visual depth.

The pair has undergone a demanding process of complete restoration, with the primary focus on the superior surface treatment of the wood. A new french polish has been applied in a luxury finish to a one hundred percent high gloss, creating a deep, mirrored effect typical of the finest period furniture. This precise procedure has restored the original nobility and elegance, making them a dominant feature in any prestigious interior.

Beyond their aesthetic appeal, the armchairs have been fully restored functionally with new professional spring upholstery. This was crafted using traditional methods to ensure maximum seating comfort while maintaining the authentic silhouette. The new upholstery fabric in a teal shade with a subtle texture harmoniously complements the dark tones of the walnut wood, emphasizing the overall luxurious feel of the set, which is ready for immediate use.
