This floor lamp is a noble representative of 1930s Czechoslovak Art Deco. The lighting fixture embodies the elegance, luxury, and material honesty characteristic of the First Republic era. The dominant feature of the entire design is the slender, stepped, turned stem made of solid walnut, which gives the lamp an architectural, almost monumental character.
During the comprehensive restoration, the original wood polish was sensitively revived, restoring the wood's natural depth, warm honey tone, and silky luster. The walnut column is tastefully complemented by brass elements, creating a classic, highly elegant contrast with the wood. Perfect stability is ensured by a heavy cast-iron base concealed within the bottom wooden foot. The crown of the entire design is a monumental white opal glass globe shade with a diameter of 30 cm, which filters light throughout the room in a pleasant, soft, and glare-free tone.
The lamp has undergone a complete technical overhaul, including new professional wiring that meets current safety standards. Thanks to its timeless design and superb craftsmanship, this statement piece is a perfect addition to representative living rooms, halls, or studies, instantly evoking the refined atmosphere of interwar salons.
